Alternative No. 9): At the Weinberghof turn right on the Wehrbachweg to the Sonnbergweg and left down to the district of Spertendorf \u2013 along the main road to the left \u2013 in front of the chapel turn right on the path towards the train station \u2013 after the train station on the main road back to the centre.<\/p><\/div>\r\n                                    <\/div>\r\n village in the direction of the church and on to the bathing lake \u2013 left around the bathing lake \u2013 through the forest and across a meadow towards W\u00f6tzing \u2013 through the farm settlement to the road (Pension K\u00fcchl on the right) \u2013 right up the Brandseitgraben \u2013 past the junction to the Staudachstube snack station \u2013 right to the Gauxerbauer \u2013 past the house chapel \u2013 over the meadow path to the Untertann and Obertann farms \u2013 back to Kirchberg<\/p><\/div>\r\n                                    <\/div>\r\n                            <div class=\"accordion-item\">\r\n                    <div class=\"accordion-title\">Gaisberg (1,770 m)<\/div>\r\n                                            <div class=\"accordion-content\" style=\"display: none;\"><p><strong>Walking time: approx. 5 hours<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Via Kirchangerweg past the Kirchanger chapel \u2013 Waldhof \u2013 steep ascent through the forest \u2013 Plattlhof \u2013 across beautiful meadows to the mountain station of the Gaisberg chairlift \u2013 keep left uphill to the B\u00e4rst\u00e4ttalm \u2013 behind the hut over alpine pastures to the summit cross \u2013 continue over the Gaisbergjoch \u2013 short, steep descent via the Nagillersteig \u2013 past the Harlassanger chapel (Maria Heimsuchung) to the Kobingerh\u00fctte \u2013 on a relatively flat path back to the B\u00e4rst\u00e4ttalm \u2013 Gaisberg chairlift \u2013 on the Past Gaisbergst\u00fcberl and downhill along the forest path\/toboggan run to the Obergaisberg inn \u2013 downhill and past the Kirchanger chapel back to Kirchberg.  <\/p><\/div>\r\n                                    <\/div>\r\n                            <div class=\"accordion-item\">\r\n                    <div class=\"accordion-title\">Brechhorn (2,037 m)<\/div>\r\n                                            <div class=\"accordion-content\" style=\"display: none;\"><p><strong>Walking time from the mountain station of the Gaisberg chairlift: approx. 4 1\/2 hours<br><\/strong><strong>Descent from the Brechhornhaus: approx. 2 hours<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To get to the Kobingerh\u00fctte, see hiking route 7 (Gaisberg chairlift mountain station, B\u00e4rst\u00e4ttalm, Kobingerh\u00fctte) \u2013 on a forest road past the Lichteneggalm \u2013 continue slightly uphill at the foot of the Gampenkogel \u2013 under the Ki gondola lift &#8211; West continue via Streitschlagalm to the Kreuzj\u00f6chlsee \u2013 Brechhornhaus \u2013 first slightly downhill, then steep ascent on a stony path to the Schledererkopf \u2013 steadily uphill past small high moors and mountain pine fields \u2013 to the summit cross of the Brechhorn over a narrow Ridge (be careful when wet!) \u2013 Way back over the Gaisberg or 10 minutes before the Brechhornhaus turn right in the direction of Br\u00fcgglbach and on the forest path into the valley.<\/p><\/div>\r\n                                    <\/div>\r\n                            <div class=\"accordion-item\">\r\n                    <div class=\"accordion-title\">Rauher Kopf (1,580 m)<\/div>\r\n                                            <div class=\"accordion-content\" style=\"display: none;\"><p><strong>Walking time: approx. 3 1\/2 hours<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>From the centre of the village to the underpass at Gasthof Kalswirt \u2013 on the vineyard path along the stream \u2013 turn right on a steeply ascending road towards Filzerhof \u2013 via Wieshof on a meadow path past the Fragenst\u00e4ttbauer (farm visit on Wednesday: registration at the tourist office!) \u2013 continue on the meadow path to Sonnbergstra\u00dfe \u2013 Gasthof Filzerhof \u2013 on the forest path through forests towards the Rauher Kopf \u2013 the last section of the trail over roots and small raised moors to the summit \u2013 descent via Auer-Hochalm and Ruetzen back to Kirchberg.<\/p><\/div>\r\n                                    <\/div>\r\n                            <div class=\"accordion-item\">\r\n                    <div class=\"accordion-title\">Pengelstein (1,938 m)<\/div>\r\n                                            <div class=\"accordion-content\" style=\"display: none;\"><p><strong>Walking time from the valley: approx. 5 hours<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>From the Maierl -1 car park, past the Rohrermoos and Grillingbauer \u2013 through the forest to the Krin mountain tavern \u2013 continue on the road in the direction of Gasthof Maierl \u2013 over forest and alpine paths to the Ochsalm (ascent to the Ochsalm is also possible via the road from Schirast up) \u2013 at the valley station of the Maierl-3 lift over the Alte Kaser and turn right to the Hochbrunn inn \u2013 along the Eagle Walk to the Jufenkamm and the Jufenalm \u2013 easy hike along the ridge to the Pengelstein \u2013 possibility of descent via the Hiesleggalm.<\/p><\/div>\r\n                                    <\/div>\r\n                            <div class=\"accordion-item\">\r\n                    <div class=\"accordion-title\">Ehrenbachh\u00f6he (1,802 m)<\/div>\r\n                                            <div class=\"accordion-content\" style=\"display: none;\"><p><strong>Walking time to Ehrenbachh\u00f6he: approx. 5 hours<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>From the Fleckalmbahn valley station, turn right past the Brandseitstube and the Schochenhof \u2013 on the road in the Brandseitgraben steadily uphill to the Niedere Fleckalm (Untere Fleckalm) \u2013 along the forest path to the Obere Fleckalm \u2013 in large hairpin bends ascent to the Bernhard chapel \u2013 past the Ehrenbachh\u00f6hensee to the Ehrenbachh\u00f6he \u2013 possibility to continue hiking (e.g. Hahnenkamm, Hochbrunn, Pengelstein,&#8230;) \u2013 downhill either on foot or with the Fleckalmbahn.<\/p><\/div>\r\n                                    <\/div>\r\n                            <div class=\"accordion-item\">\r\n                    <div class=\"accordion-title\">Aschauer H\u00f6henweg (1,440 m)<\/div>\r\n                                            <div class=\"accordion-content\" style=\"display: none;\"><p><strong>Walking time for the entire high-altitude trail: approx. 6 hours<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>From Aschau\/Kneipp facility, turn left into the Obere Grund \u2013 after the barrier on the slightly ascending forest road past the Grundalm \u2013 at the junction to the Hierzeggalm\/Spie\u00dfn\u00e4gel continue straight ahead \u2013 Klooalm \u2013 straight ahead into the alpine pasture area \u2013 after the bridge turn left to the Ragstattalm \u2013 through alpine pastures and wooded areas moderate ascent to the Seewaldalm (possibility of a direct, steeper descent to Aschau) \u2013 continue to the Kruna and Hiesleggalm \u2013 on an alpine path gently downhill to the Gasthof Schroll,  Pengelstein 1 valley station and Gasthof Schirast.<\/p><\/div>\r\n                                    <\/div>\r\n                            <div class=\"accordion-item\">\r\n                    <div class=\"accordion-title\">Labalm (1,263 m)<\/div>\r\n                                            <div class=\"accordion-content\" style=\"display: none;\"><p><strong>Walking time to the Labalm: approx. 3 hours<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>From Aschau\/Kneipp facility, turn right into the Unterer Grund \u2013 after the toll barrier on the forest road along the stream \u2013 right past the waterfall and left past the Falkenstein rock \u2013 Hintenbachalm \u2013 slightly ascending straight ahead \u2013 past the Labalm junction into the valley towards Karalm \u2013 after the barrier at the bridge turn right up to Stockeralm and Angereralm \u2013 right in serpentines down the alpine path to the Labalm \u2013 return at the Labalm the forest path downhill and via Hintenbachalm again back to Aschau.<\/p><\/div>\r\n                                    <\/div>\r\n                            <div class=\"accordion-item\">\r\n                    <div class=\"accordion-title\">Schwarzkogel (2,030 m)<\/div>\r\n                                            <div class=\"accordion-content\" style=\"display: none;\"><p><strong>Walking time Aschau \u2013 Schwarzkogel summit: approx. 3 1\/2 hours  <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>From Aschau behind the Gredwirt steep ascent on the Eagle Walk through the forest \u2013 before the Seewaldalm crossing the Aschauer H\u00f6henweg \u2013 ascent via Kleinmoos-Niederalm and the dilapidated Obere Kleinmoosalm to the Schwarzkogelscharte \u2013 summit ascent to the Schwarzkogel \u2013 descent for experienced, sure-footed hikers with a head for heights: over the summit in the direction of Kleiner Rettenstein \u2013 over a narrow ridge towards Kesselboden, then right to the Stadlbergalm \u2013 steep descent into the Obere Grund to the Kloo-Niederalm and back to Aschau. Descent alternative: via Pengelstein, Jufenalm, Hochbrunn, Kaser, Ochsalm and Maierl to Kirchberg or further to the Ehrenbachh\u00f6he and with the Fleckalmbahn into the valley.<\/p>\n<p><br><strong>Walking time Aschau \u2013 Spie\u00dfn\u00e4gel: approx. 3 hours  <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>From Aschau\/Kneipp facility, turn left into the Obere Grund \u2013 after the barrier on the slightly ascending forest road past the Grundalm \u2013 turn right at the junction Hierzeggalm\/Spie\u00dfn\u00e4gel \u2013 on a serpentine path through the forest to the Hierzeggalm \u2013 on the summit path through alpine flowers to the Spie\u00dfn\u00e4geln \u2013 descent towards Rettensteinjoch \u2013 at the Hierzegglacke turn left on the Hierzeggweg back to the alpine pasture \u2013 stay on the Hierzeggweg and follow the forest path down to the Sonnwendalm \u2013 at the alpine pasture turn right on the Falkensteinweg directly down to the Unterer Grund and down the valley back to Aschau.  <\/p><\/div>\r\n                                    <\/div>\r\n                            <div class=\"accordion-item\">\r\n                    <div class=\"accordion-title\">Spie\u00dfn\u00e4gel (1,880 m) &amp; Gro\u00dfer Rettenstein (2,366 m)<\/div>\r\n                                            <div class=\"accordion-content\" style=\"display: none;\"><p><strong>Walking time to the summit: approx. 4 1\/2 hours  <\/strong><br><strong>Walking time into the valley: approx. 3 1\/2 hours<br>Alpine emergency number: 140<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>ONLY FOR SURE-FOOTED, EXPERIENCED MOUNTAINEERS and hikers with a head for heights! By car on the toll road into the Unterer Grund to the Hintenbachalm \u2013 either direct, steep ascent through the forest into the Sch\u00f6ntalgraben and along the Sch\u00f6ntalbach to the Sch\u00f6ntalalm or via the forest path to the Sonnwendalm and on to the Sch\u00f6ntalalm \u2013 over the Sch\u00f6ntalscherm up to the Sch\u00f6ntal spring (marmots!) \u2013 over steep serpentines uphill \u2013 arduous ascent over rocky terrain (attention:  don&#8217;t kick any stones loose!) \u2013 short climb to the summit \u2013 descent as well as ascent.<\/p><\/div>\r\n
