Ellmi’s Magic World presents itself as an adventure mountain with constantly new surprises in fascinating nature. Hop on the “Magic Express” and reach it in just 7 minutes. the Hard Emperor, where you will be welcomed by a mystical fable world of fairies, goblins and forest spirits, but above all by the magic frog “Ellmi”. His nature and adventure park will take you through our colourful flora and fauna and who knows, maybe one or the other could add some more to his expertise!

Mud pools, water channels, reservoirs, climbing ponds, fireplaces (more than 60 stations) will certainly not let boredom arise for young and perhaps also for old. You can either get inspiration in the Kneipp pool or have your reflex zones massaged on Austria’s longest “barefoot path” over grass, mulch and stones. Another highlight is the unique panoramic view from the Hohe Salve on 70 peaks above 3,000m. The view has been made even more interesting by the first revolving panoramic terrace in Austria, a wind harp and 15 sundial stations.

The Kaiser Welt Scheffau is located at an altitude of 1,650m. To be more precise, between the mountain station of the 8-seater Scheffau-Brandstadl gondola lift and the Brandstadl mountain restaurant. On a dome, both big and small children can let off steam to their heart’s content. There, the Emperor awaits his coronations to complete the many tasks together with them. Through the castle gate you enter the adjacent Kaiserwald. Here you have to go on countless adventures on the castle wall, the climbing wall, and on various tree huts and playground equipment and explore the secrets of the forest.

Physical well-being is taken care of in the Brandstadl mountain restaurant. Both Tyrolean home cooking and international cuisine are cooked. On the large sun terrace with a view of the mountain massif of the “Wilder Kaiser” on one side and the Hohe Tauern on the other, our guests can enjoy the good mountain air and the panorama.

A gondola lift takes guests comfortably directly from the village of Brixen im Thale to Hochbrixen, from where it takes 5 minutes to reach Hochbrixen. The world of the Filzalmsee is revealed. Around the idyllic Filzalmsee, visitors are presented with an enchanting alpine landscape in which there is a lot to discover and explore. For example, in the biotope created directly next to the lake, where viewing shafts reveal life in the pond, or a giant hand that can be moved with ropes, a giant eye that turns everything upside down and the mystical water giant that mysteriously rises up from the lake. If you take a close look around the surrounding nature, you will discover many a natural history feature, because the Filzalm is surrounded by a high moor in which special plants thrive and rare animals live. The Filzalmsee is not only popular and popular with families and hikers, Nordic walkers and mountain bikers also like to use the area of the Filzalmsee for a longer break to enjoy the beautiful view in peace and quiet or to refresh themselves for the next stage in the moor treading pool or in the wading area of the biotope facility. Above the Filzalmsee there is a rustic alpine hut where you can enjoy typical home cooking as well as fresh milk from the alpine pasture and alpine cheese. A well-developed network of hiking trails connects the Filzalmsee with the Hexenwasser Hochsöll, the Hohe Salve, the Jochstub’n See and the KaiserWelt in Scheffau.

Exciting adventures with the “Schlauberger” The little “Schlauberger” of the Alpinolino welcomes the children at the mountain station of the gondola lift on the Talkaser and guides them through the excitingly staged alpine landscape around the Choralpe, where many a tricky puzzle is hidden. Under the motto: Play, research and discover, numerous stations are installed along an approximately 1.5 km long circular path, where you can, for example, test your sense of smell and touch, observe marmots, compete in the long jump or race or even spot the mountain peaks and various places with a guessing telescope. The Choralpe is also exciting for adults, as it is one of the most beautiful panoramic mountains in the Kitzbühel Alps and lavishly equipped with scenic charms. On a clear day, the Hohe Tauern with Großvenediger and Großglockner are revealed in the south and the Wilder Kaiser massif in the north. From the Talkaser you can also hike to the Brechhornhaus, near which you will find the “Kreuzjöchlsee”, a beautiful and idyllic mountain lake.

Visit the Aurach Wildlife Park, located in a beautiful landscape, the main filming location of the Heimatfilms with Hansi Hinterseer. Here, at an altitude of 1080m on the sunny slopes of the Branderhof, lies this wildlife park, unique in Tyrol, where you will find large red deer, fallow deer, ibex, mouflons, yaks from Tibet, lynxes, wild boars, kangaroos, Barbary monkeys, eagle owls, capercaillie, but also petting animals for children.

Here you will experience first-hand contact with animals that very few of us have ever encountered in the wild. Photograph and film as much as you want. A wonderful hiking trail leads through the largest enclosure in Tyrol (approx. 40 ha), which is surrounded by the wild and romantic scenery of the Kitzbühel Alps. The highlight is the game feeding at 2.30 p.m., a spectacle of nature. There is a separate playground for children.

From Aurach near Kitzbühel, a leisurely hiking trail (45 min.) and a road (4 km) lead to the wildlife park.

On the Steinplatte in Waidring you will experience a journey back in time to prehistoric times. Go on an exciting expedition in the Triassic Park. On this journey through time on the mountain, you will be on the trail of the primeval critters. The Triassic Park begins at the foot of the Steinplatte. Already in the valley station of the gondola lift, you soak up the atmosphere of the primeval sea and take visitors up the mountain in special “underwater gondolas”. Many exciting areas await you in the Dinosaur Park on the mountain, such as the Triassic Center, the Triassic Beach and the Triassic Trail. You will learn the ABCs of the earth’s history and can also do your own research. In the outdoor area there is a mini primeval sea to cool off – the dinos are close enough to attack. Here you can climb the prehistoric times, play them and dig up in the treasure hunt. The viewing platform in Triassic Park allows you to look even deeper. This breathtaking platform floats almost 70 meters above the abyss. Into the gondola and up into the time!
