The mine is located on the Pass Thurn federal road B 161, 10 km south of Kitzbühel. In Jochberg, mining was first mentioned historically in 1447. In 1830, 16 km of track and 2 km of shafts had already been built in multi-storey quarrying. In 1990, the “Copper Plate Show Mine” was built in the old Erbstollen tunnel, which can be entered by the mine train 500 m away. If required, (group) guided tours by the former operations manager.
