From romantic valley hikes to challenging mountain tours

From the centre of the village, walk up to the church and then continue along the path past the Hotel Seehof. From here, take the hiking trail through the winter forest around the swimming lake.

Keep left at the small crossroads and follow the forest road in the direction of Gauxbauer. Through the forest on the right, you come to a hiking trail with a bench. Continue along the path in the direction of Kasbach Bauer. At the end of the street you come to Möselgasse. Follow the Möselgasse to the church and back to the village to the tourist office.

From the centre via the Stöcklfeld to the racecourse. Turn left here and walk through the forest along the forest road uphill past the Scherrgrubhof to the Gasthof Obergaisberg (evt. From here it goes back in the direction of Kirchberg, past the Kirchanger chapel to the Schiwiese.

From the village (Kalswirt) we go through the underpass and then continue along the Weinbergweg to the Weinberghof, then turn right and continue along the road up to the Pension Wieshof. From here, the path climbs, leads past the Frangenstätthof to Sonnbergstraße to the Filzerhof. Past the farm we hike up into the forest and follow the cleared winter hiking trail. After about 2 hours you reach the highest point of the trail (just below the Rauhen Kopf) and from here it goes comfortably downhill to the Gasthof Ruetzen.

Return along the road to Spertendorf, turn right here to the main road, cross it and walk along the meadow path towards the railway. After the small underpass, the footpath runs to the left of the railway tracks back to the village.
